The GR34, the old customs officers' path, follows the whole coastline and passes within a few steps of the villa. It is the finest way to discover the Emerald Coast.
The Pointe du Décollé, 15 minutes on foot or 4 minutes by car, gives a breathtaking panorama over the whole bay. Sunset there is not to be missed. It is also home to La Chaumière, an institution on the Emerald Coast open since the 1920s: one of the few clubs in France where you dance above the waves.
Fifteen minutes by car, the ramparts of Saint-Malo can be walked all the way round, with a commanding view over the sea and the Rance estuary. Boats to the islands leave from the harbour.
The island of Cézembre is 15 minutes by boat from Saint-Malo: a world's end reachable in season only, with the only south-facing beach in the region, clear water, full sun and a magnificent view of the coast. The island still carries the marks of the Second World War.
